![]() Atlantic Methanol - Tugger Beam Malabo, Equitorial New Guinea Project Manager: Andrew Thiess Owner: Atlantic Methanol Owner Contact: Howard Wolfe Atlantic Methanol operates one of the largest methanol plants in the world off Bioko Island in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa. Atlantic Methanol Production Company, or AMPCO, contracted Beaumont, Texas based WH Industrial Services to construct a 130-foot tugger beam for removing and replacing heat exchanger tubes from their reformer vessels. AMPCO expressed the desire to use a locally-available 90-ton crane to lift the beam, placing difficult limitations on the height and weight of the beam. With conceptual design input from experienced engineers and workers, Overland developed a highly functional and user-friendly tugger beam design. ![]() 832.250.2899
